This modern printing technique combines silicone lacquer, sand and oil paint, creating a haptic surface. Depicted is a woman reclining in a radish field, just wearing a blouse with flowers. The color red is thereby predominating. This is a characteristic work of the artist, who is known for her vividly colored neo-expressionist portraits of women. The work is signed and dated lower left 'Bach 2001', as well as numbered '21/30'. The terragraph is in very good condition, there is merely minimal craquelé in the upper area. The frame is also in very good condition with hardly any traces of wear. The stretcher frame is 91 x 112 cm in size and the total dimensions, including the frame, are 104 x 125 cm. Elvira Bach (born 1951) Elvira Bach was born 1951 in Neuenhain, Germany. Belonging to the artist movement 'Junge Wilde', she is known for her colorful and expressive depictions of women. Bach studied at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Hadamar and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In 1982, she participated in the Documenta VII. She works and lives in Berlin.
