She is smoking a cigarette and looking towards the viewer. The work is signed on the lower right in pencil with 'Bach' as well as numbered in pencil on the lower left with 'P.A. V/X'. The dry stamp 'Canson Montval' is visible along on the lower edge and an inscription can be seen en verso on the frame. The print is in very good condition with a small handling mark in the lower right corner. The frame shows slight signs of wear and has a total dimension of 103.5 x 134 cm. The sheet size is 75 x 103 cm. Elvira Bach (born 1951) Elvira Bach was born 1951 in Neuenhain, Germany. Belonging to the artist movement 'Junge Wilde', she is known for her colourful and expressive depictions of women. Bach studied at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Hadamar and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In 1982 she participated at the Documenta VII. She works and lives in Berlin.
