HOMER WINSLOW: (1836-1910) American Painter. A.L.S., Winslow Homer, two pages, 8vo, n.p., 24th April 1897, to [Thomas B.] Clarke, his patron. Homer informs Clarke of his plans to deliver two paintings in a manner which will allow The Century to make photographic prints of them, in part 'They are to be sent....to Whittemen Brothers....Thence by my own conveyance to the Gallery of Kurtz. Directly I hear that they have been delivered to Kurtz I will send to you an order to deliver to bearer after they have made their negative.' VG
