She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and worked under Hugh Breckenridge and Daniel Garber. Although she painted Impressionist-inspired landscapes, urban scenes, and genre subject, she was best known for her decorative floral paintings and screens, featuring close-up views of lush summer blossoms.
