Hauptmann, Karl 1880 Freiburg i.Br. - 1947 Todtnau. «Alter Hebelhof (Feldberg) (Old Hebelhof, Feldberg)». Pencil, chalk and opaque white on strong, greyish wove paper. Unsigned. Verso titled and estate stamp of the artist as well as inscribed by Karin Hauptmann, granddaughter of the artist. Verso on the backboard estate stamp of the artist. H 23,5, W 33,5 cm (sheet). Framed. The drawing served Hauptmann as a model for the oil painting of the hotel Hebelhof (G14-1), which he painted in 1914 and is named after the Alemannic poet Johann Peter Hebel. Condition report: Several creases (approx. 2,5 to 16 cm), faint rubbing at the lower margin, here and there small stains (approx. 3 mm to 1 cm) resp. paint stains partially from the making, torn-off edge at the upper and lower margin. Flecken (ca. 3 mm bis 1 cm) bzw. Farbflecke partiell vom Schaffensprozess, am oberen und unteren Rand mit Abrisskante. Das Werk wurde aktuell nicht ausgerahmt.
