Known for her otherworldly glamor and beauty, Elizabeth Taylor won two Academy Awards during her career and was honored with a Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute, who named her on their list of "Greatest American Screen Legends." In an era when most stars limited themselves to carefully posed portraits, Worth's black and white images provided unique images of celebrities. Born in New York City, Worth moved to Hollywood in 1940, quickly becoming close friends of many top stars including Rita Hayworth, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and others. These friendships allowed him access to capture unposed moments on the set of films. Many of his photographs were kept private and not seen until after his death.
