Frank Worth (American, 1923-2000) American photographer Frank Worth was renowned for his intimate candid portraits of Hollywood actors and actresses. In an era when most stars limited themselves to carefully posed portraits, Worth's black and white images provided unique images of celebrities. Born in New York City, Worth moved to Hollywood in 1940, quickly becoming close friends of many top stars including Rita Hayworth, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and others. These friendships allowed him access to capture un-posed moments on the set of films. Many of his photographs were kept private and not seen until after his death.
