REMBRANDT HARMENSZ. VAN RIJN (Leiden 1606–1669 Amsterdam) A beggar and beggarwoman conversing. 1630. Etching on laid paper. Monogrammed and dated in the plate lower left: RH 1630. Sheet size: 7.9 x 6.7 cm. Framed. Bartsch 164; Hinterding/Rutgers (New Hollstein) 45 II (of III). - Good, even and clearly printed impression, mostly with a fine margin around the plate edge. The upper right corner with a paper loss. Verso, secured along the upper edge with mounting tape in a mount. The lower left corner with a thin spot in the paper. Verso at the left edge with a few adhesive residues from a removed mounting. Hardly any signs of age and handling. Radierung auf Bütten. In der Platte unten links gestochen monogrammiert und datiert: RH 1630. Blattgrösse: 7,9 x 6,7 cm. Gerahmt. Bartsch 164; Hinterding/Rutgers (New Hollstein) 45 II (von III). - Schöner, gleichmässiger und klar zeichnender Druck überwiegend mit feinem Rändchen um die Plattenkante. Die obere rechte Ecke mit Papierverlust. Rückseitig am oberen Rand mit Montierungsband in einem Passepartout fixiert. Die untere linke Ecke mit Dünnstelle im Papier. Verso am linken Rand mit wenigen Kleberresten von entfernter Montierung. Kaum Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Insgesamt in guter Erhaltung.
