Born in Vienna in 1923, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1946 to 1952 under Albert Paris Gütersloh and Herbert Boeckl. From 1954 onward, he participated in exhibitions of the Vienna Secession, taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna from 1965, and from 1970 created altarpieces and murals for Viennese churches. Regschek painted portraits, religious scenes, and urban motifs with expressive color, dynamic brushwork, and psychological intensity, influenced by Fantastic Realism, the Vienna School of Realism, and Baroque painting traditions. His oil paintings, watercolors, and frescoes are characterized by dramatic lighting and spiritual depth.
