For nearly 80 of his 91 years on this earth, Picasso devoted himself to the arts, becoming synonymous with 20th century art and one of the most widely collected and valued artists in history. In his career he developed a new style of art, abandoning classical single viewpoints and making use of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and collage to push art into a realm that none had dreamed of. His impact on the art world is still felt to this day and his works continue to appreciate in value as they are enjoyed by multiple generations of collectors.
