The dimensions of the depiction are 47 x 61 cm. Hans Uhlmann (1900-1975) Hans Uhlmann was born in Berlin in 1900. Trained as a mechanical engineer, he later turned to becoming a sculptor, whereas his first sculptures were created wire. During the war, his metal sculptures were degraded as degenerate art. In 1950 he became professor at the University of the Arts in Berlin. In addition, he has participated in numerous exhibitions, including documenta 1, 2, 3 and 6 in Kassel.
