Franz Hitzler (born 1946) Franz Hitzler, born in the South German village of Thalmassing in 1946, undertook several journeys to Amsterdam, where he came across the paintings of Rembrandt which convinced him to become a professional painter. So he started drawing lessons at the Art School in Augsburg under Heinz Butz, which was followed by his studies at the master class of Fritz Nagel at the Academy of Fine Art. In his works Hitzler deals with the fortunes of life, experiences between sorrow and positive outcome that he transforms into a process characterized by a spontaneous and impulsive way of painting. His art works can be found in numerous public and private collections. (cbo) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
