Artist: JEAN DUPAS (1882-1964) Size: 23 1_2 x 39 3_8 in./59.5 x 100 cm Johnson, Riddle, London A genteel scene, so typical of Dupas, for the Green Line Coach, one of the bus companies incorporated, along with the Underground, into London Transport in 1933. After Dupas won the gold medal at the 1922 Salon des Artistes Français, he began to acquire a prestigious international clientele including the Sèvres porcelain works, Saks department store in New York, and the London Underground, for which he designed six posters between 1930 and 1933.
