The poster was published on the occasion of an exhibition of selected art works from the collection of the famous Berlin art collector Erich Marx. This was an extraordinary exhibition: First of all, it was the first time that the art collector Erich Marx presented parts of his collection to the public; a collection which later formed the foundation for the Museum Hamburger Bahnhof, which opened its doors in 1996. Secondly, the opening of the show was a social event, attended by Beuys, Warhol and Rauschenberg, which attracted more than four thousand onlookers. While Cy Twombly was not present at the opening, the other three artists bore testimony to this spectacular event with their handwritten signatures on this exhibition poster. The poster is in good condition with minor browning. It shows some folds and a tiny tear at the margin. The poster is signed 'Bob Rauschenberg', 'Joseph Beuys' and 'A Warhol'. The new frame is in good condition with only minimal traces of age and wear. The overall dimensions, framed, are 92 x 67 cm; the dimensions of the poster are 84 x 60 cm.
