Rosemarie Pierer (1918-2012) The German photographer Rosemarie Pierer was born in Bernburg, but moved to Hamburg in 1949, where she founded her own studio. Pierer rating as the Grand Dame of German worked for the ‘Thalia-Theater’ and different companies, such as Beiersdorf, Deutsche Airbus, Philips, the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg and Maico. In her late years she concentrated again on portrait-photographs, among them the architect Hadi Teherani and former chancellor Helmut Schmidt.
