Watercolor, gouache and graphite on paper, 21 1/4 x 37 1/2 inches. Signed "J. Bard N.Y." and dated 1880, l.r. The reverse with collection and gallery labels. Built in 1846 in Hoboken, New Jersey, the "Princeton," a double-ended ferry with twin pilot houses is depicted flying a large pennant for "Princeton" and two red, white and blue eagle flags, while its side is lettered "Pennsylvania Rail Road."
