Provenance: The Harry R. Calsing Trust, Cleveland Ohio. Acquired at Christie's, sale 8818, lot 147, January/29/98, labels verso. Christie's catalog listing "Prov: Anon. Sale, Newmeister, Berlin, Sept. 20, 1989, lot 472. When offered at Newmeister, the present work was accompanied by a certificate, dated Berlin, October 10, 1988, from Dr. Wolfgang Schutz as by Herman Saftleven."
