The paint surface is somewhat darkened and shows craquelure. The inspection under UV light reveals filling strokes of retouching the craquelure throughout the sky, as well as small touch-ups to the margins and a major area of retouching to the lower right. Georg Anton Rasmussen (1842-1914) Georg Anton Rasmussen studied at the Art Academies in Copenhagen and Düsseldorf and trained with Johan Ludvig Losting, Anders Askevold, Frederik Rohde and Oswald Achenbach.
