Michel Fingesten (Austrian, 1884-1943) Surrealist seascape with a harp rising from a rough sea signed in pencil lower right "Fingesten", printed on Bergisch Gladbach laid paper with lion watermark drypoint etching on buff paper h:19 w: 12 cm Fingesten was a prominent and prolific member of the 1920s Berlin avant garde movement. An exhibition of his work was held by the Jewish Museum, Prague, in 2008.
