STIEGLITZ, ALFRED (1864-1946) Two photographs after watercolors by John Marin, the largest 9 1/4 x 7 5/8 inches (235 x 190 mm), both on card mounts, one heavily annotated at the foot in ink in Stieglitz's hand, with his name written out twice, with indications to an engraver (old engraver's stamp on verso). Marin was one of Stieglitz's stable of artists, and these images (which date to just after 1929, based on the art depicted) were clearly taken by Stieglitz for a catalogue or publication. The second image has notations on the verso, also apparently in his hand. C
