작품 상세
This fine drawing, which has a provenance of four previous drawing collectors, shows the Holy Trinity with Virgin and Angels. Subject and style or so close to the work of Johann Rottenhammer (1564-1623) we have to look for authorship in that direction. I added two images of signed works by Rottenhammer as last two images so you can see both style 'and especially also the colors used' are very near to his work. The drawing can be attributed two somebody of his circle or a German or Flemish follower. The work (then as Abraham Bloemaer) was acquired 14 December 1860 by Charles Gasc (Lugt.542) from his brother Amédée Gasc, 'magistrat du second empire' (Lugt.1131), mentioning it came from the collection Kaïemann in Brussels (Not in Lugt), all this following a handwritten and signed notation on the back of the drawing by Charles Gase. Further it has the collection stamp of the famous art dealer Albert van Loock (Lugt.3752).
