Munich 1811-16. Standing at the right side at the well round with the rope in the raised right hand, face with lost profile turned towards the Lord, who sat down at Jacob's well near Sychar in Samaria on his way from Jerusalem to Galilee. Strixner learned engraving with Dorner in 1799. Employed as draughtsman in 1803 at the electoral gallery in Munich. From 1810 he published the Oeuvres Lithographiques. From 1820 in Stuttgart.
