Johann Nepomuk Franz Xaver Strixner (1782 Altötting - 1855 Munich) after Pietro Perugino (1445 Citt'a della Pieve/Perugia - 1523 Fontignano/Perugia): Madonna and child, 19th century, Lithography Technique: Lithography on Paper Inscription: Signed at the bottom of the image "P. Perugino pinx. / Strixner del. 1813". Verso inscribed in lead: Winkler "No. 965", "Dussler No. XLVII." Date: 19th century Description: Strixner learned engraving from Dorner in 1799. Employed as draughtsman at the electoral gallery in Munich in 1803. From 1806 he tried lithography and from 1810 he published the Oeuvres Lithographiques. From 1820 in Stuttgart.
