ZOBOLI, Giacomo, (Modena 1682 - Rome 1757): Unique drawing study for the mosaic Zoboli created for the cupola in the chapel of the Madonna della Colonna at St. Peter's Basillica, depicting two winged angels, 16" x 21", framed 25.25" x 30". From the Estate of Dennis Smith, firefighter, author, founder of Firehouse magazine, and avid art collector. Purchased from Mia N. Werner Old Master Drawings, date unknown. Condition: Foxing, edge creasing, abrasions right side, not examined out of frame
