Verso lower left with faded Basel estate stamp (Lugt 1570 b), therein inscribed "FS Da/Aa 35" with black pen.The work is registered in the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive Wichtrach/Bern.With a certificate of authenticity by Eberhard Kornfeld, Davos, dated 31 July 1972The work clearly depicts, as E. Kornfeld describes, "the white house of the dairy on the Stafelalp"; also to be seen on the hillside are the contours of a peasant figure with a horse.
