Maxfield Frederick Parrish American, 1870-1966 (i) Menu Board Graphite pencil on illustration board 18 x 8 1/2 inches (ii) One Little Ingredient Signed with artist's initials M.P (ll) Graphite pencil, ink and watercolor on illustration board 11 x 8 inches Menu Board. A hand-written note on a receipt of sale for this work from Butterfield & Butterfield describes it as Study for St. Regis Menu Board. Around 1904, Maxfield Parrish was commissioned to paint a 30-foot mural, Old King Cole, for the Knickerbocker Hotel on West 42nd Street. The mural now hangs in the Old King Cole Bar at the St. Regis Hotel. It is not known when the present work was created. C
