Original drawing in black pen and watercolor on envelope, 3 5/8 x 6 ½ inches, postmarked New York, January 27, 1966, addressed to Nonny Hogrogian, of a parade of two Wild Things carrying a banner, a mouse dancing with flowers above his head, and a dog bringing up the rear with staff topped with the postage, a Sun emerging from the clouds and three birds are overhead, addressed and with return address on verso both in Sendak?s hand, matted, evenly toned, tape to extremities, roughly opened at verso, but shows attractively. Children's author and illustrator Nonny Hogrodian won the 1966 Caldecott medal for Always Room for One More . Snedak won the prize two years earlier for Where the Wild Things Are .
