Monogrammed 'R.S.' on the plinth, probably Richard Scheibe, with the foundry stamp 'Lauchhammer Bildguss' on the side. Fully sculpted nude depiction of an athlete at the moment of highest tension, immediately before the throw in dynamic movement. The casting from the renowned Lauchhammer foundry lends the work additional quality and authenticity. A characteristic example of the reception of antiquity. Min. bumped.
