Lang ShiNing, aka Giuseppe Castiglione, (Italian, 1688-1766), Chinese Qing Dynasty, watercolor on silk, hanging scroll. A masterpiece hand painting combined elements with Western art of shading and atmospheric perspective, imparting a sense of realism, depicted a man with group of horses beneath shading pine tree. Signed to the left by the artist, Lang ShiNing, followed with two iron-red signature seal. Mounted on creme-brownish silk before grayish-celadon border.
