Sanso's dark, otherworldly landscape, a finely detailed symphony in black and white of barnacled fishtrap (baklad) poles rising out of the water, piercing the blood red sky, imparts an overwhelming sense of unease, an effect similar to that created by Red Sunset in the Ateneo Art Gallery collection.
