작품 상세
William Mark, an Arts and Crafts silver and enamelled brooch, Chipping Campden, circa 1912, the fire opal enamel cabochon within a pierced lappet border, stamped marks, 3.5cm diameter Note: Australian silversmith William Mark worked at the Guild of Handicraft from 1909, before setting up on his own and remaining in the Cotswolds until his return to Australia in 1920. The influence of his Australian heritage is seen in the simulation of a black opal, emerging out of Australia in the late 19th century.
