Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Covered Vase Signed by Hayashi Kodenji Workshop, Meiji Period The squat ovoid form worked in various thicknesses of silver and gold wire and colored enamels, decorated with small birds perched in a blossoming maple tree surrounded by a profusion of flowers including chrysanthemums, irises and grasses, between a floral lappet band at the foot and a band of geometric patterning at the neck, all reserved on a midnight blue ground, the lid with floral scrolling surmounted by a flower bud finial, base with the stamped seal of Hayashi Kodenji.
