Two Indian Silver Tankards. Of the colonial period. One tankard having a multi-stepped base, tapered body with rolled lip, ornately engraved sides and a scrolled handle. Also with an engraved cartouche with the following: "Presented to T H Bennertz Esq, by his friends, I K G Chrbardt and Henry W Lewis, as a mark of respect and esteem. By Charles Newphew and Co, Calcutta, 1840s to 1870s." H 13 cm. Weight: 390.7 grams. The other tankard with a stepped domed base, bulbous tankard shape, flanged lip, scrolled handle and is engraved with "Lahore 1928 ARISTOCRAT". Maker unidentified. Marked as follows: "Calcutta, Lahore< Simla and Delhi". H: 12 cm. Weight: 343.1
