India,1867-1944 Depicts Shiva playing a flute beneath a tree beside Nandi, the white bull. Dhurandhar was first tutored in art by Abalal Rehman before enrolling in the Sir J J School of Art in Mumbai. Exposed to European and British art, Dhurandhar became influenced by the European Academic style and utilized it in his works. Dhurandhar's work is included in Kensington Palace's collection, the South Kensington Museum, and in the collections of Royal families and maharaja retreats throughout India.
