Vintage Persian Nain rug was hand knotted in Iran of 100% natural wool on a cotton foundation. This rug is 50+ years old, has full to medium wool piles and is in excellent condition for its age. The rug features a deep navy-blue field adorned with an all-over lattice of delicately drawn Shah Abbasi blossoms, palmettes, rosettes, and scrolling vine work, rendered with exceptional clarity and balance. The absence of a central medallion enhances the rug’s sense of openness and symmetry, a hallmark of high-quality Nain and Nain-influenced Isfahan workshop production. The palette is restrained and highly decorative, employing ivory, soft cream, pale sky blue, and subtle beige accents against the dark navy ground.
