An exceptional late 19th century Southeastern Persian Lavar Kerman wool rug, sporting a cream main border with vining florals flanked by banded red and black guard borders around a red field. The field is framed by cream spandrels, lending an attractive, serpentine border that complements a large mandala style floral medallion at the center. The medallion is surrounded by ornately detailed florals in blue, cream, beige-brown, and red, creating an impressive, highly decorative appearance. Provenance: A private collection, Mt.
