Very finely knotted, wool on wool. The Tekke tribe, part of the larger Turkoman tribe, make carpets that are finer, with denser knotting and more accurate designs than most other Turkoman carpets. These rugs are known to be extremely attractive and have long been a favourite in Europe. Tekke rugs are quality rugs, hard-wearing and made of silky wool pile.
