Bronze Kuai-type offering vessel. China, Western Zhou Dynasty, approx. 9th century BC. Height 15,4 cm, diameter 23,5 cm. Bronze, finely cast with dark green to reddish-brown patina. Wide, flat-bellied body with a contrasting, slightly flared base ring. Circumferential lei-wen band in the upper register and on the base ring. Two horizontal ornamented handles with rounded cross-sections attached to the sides. Closed, stable patina. Isolated traces of corrosion. Bronzenes Speiseopfergefäß vom Typ Kuai. China, westliche Zhou-Dynastie, ca. 9 Jh. v. Chr. H 15,4cm, ø 23,5cm. Bronze, fein gegossen mit dunkelgrüner bis rötlichbrauner Patina. Breiter flachbauchiger Korpus mit abgesetztem, leicht ausgestelltem Standring. Umlaufendes lei-wen-Band im oberen Register und am Standring. Zwei horizontale ornamentierte Henkel mit gerundetem Querschnitt seitlich angesetzt.
