Informed by the artist's journey to the United Kingdom, the work is rendered in rich blue hues accentuated by expressive brushwork that sweeps across the canvas. The composition evokes the abundance of water in nature, offering a thoughtful reflection on its meditative qualities. Suzlee conveys both the calming visual effect and symbolic connection of water as an important source of renewal and vitality. Suzlee Ibrahim completed his studies at the Mara Institute of Technology in 1987 and later returned to teach there between 1993 and 2009 (part-time from 1993 to 1996), following his career in advertising. His works have been showcased in exhibitions in more than 20 countries including solos in Denmark (Remise Academy, Brande) and Macedonia (Kicevo art colony). In 2010, he took part in the Tunisia Art Festival Workshop in Monastir. He had a mini survey show called, Suzlee Ibrahim: 30 Years Journey in 2016. His awards include: Tokoh Seni Anugerah Citra Kencana UKM in 2011; the Japan-Malaysia Art Friendship Ambassador (2007); Gold Medal of Zervas Art, the 5th Paris Art Symposium, Novotel Paris Est Hotel, Paris, France (2020); and the Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award, Persatuan Pelukis Malaysia, Muzium Seni Asia, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur (2024). Sotheby's Hong Kong April 2018 auction sale saw his work sold for HKD 237,500. His recent solo exhibitions include Road To Haimalaya (2025), and Borders Series: A Journey Between Movement And Serenity (2025). He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art, Aswara.
