Barbedienne "Greek" Urn Napoleon III Etruscan Revival circa 1860's; the urn in partially Gilt Bronze cast with a seated nude male athlete with basket on head and a standing Goddess, titled "EKTHEAPOPAE" (helpers at an exhibition?), with a paper label to base attributing the design to Henry Cahieux (1825-1854), the reverse with a Peacock and Goat at offering tables with gilt Lion heads applied to sides, incised "F. BARBEDIENNE" to side; on a round "table" with 3 Paw feet also incised "F BARBEDIENNE", originally an Oil Lamp now drilled for electricity. Height (without lampshade harp) 22 inches X diameter 7 inches.
