Large Hand-Painted Porcelain Vase Converted to Lamp Impressive porcelain vase, now mounted as a lamp, finely hand-painted with a classical mythological scene depicting warriors, a semi-nude female figure, putti, and armor. The reverse with richly decorated geometric and gilt foliate panels in dark green, burgundy, and ivory. Surrounded by extensive raised and burnished gilt ornament. Likely Continental, early to mid-20th century. Porcelain section height: 19 3/4 in. Overall height (including mount and fittings): 33 in. Condition: Painting and gilding in excellent condition; minor wear consistent with age and use; lamp conversion present. Estimate: $600 - $900
