Pair of Sevres Style Porcelain and Bronze Lamps Signed Pils A striking pair of Sevres-style hand-painted porcelain and gilt bronze lamps. Each lamp features a rich cobalt blue ground with finely painted romantic 18th-century courting scenes, signed "Pils" lower right. The porcelain bodies are adorned with elaborate raised gilt cartouches and floral decoration, mounted with ornate gilt bronze handles in a scroll form and set on a pierced and beaded bronze base. Each lamp retains the original bronze fittings and wiring. The underside bears a pseudo-Sevres red mark. Size: Total height (including electrical fitting): 33 inches (83.8 cm) Porcelain body height: 21 inches (53.3 cm) Width: 8 1/2 inches (21.6 cm) Condition: Excellent overall condition with minor expected wear.
