Property from an Important Private Asian Collection Mai Trung Thu 1906 - 1980 Lady at Balcony (La Fiancée) ink and gouache on silk signed Mai Thu, dated 53 in Chinese and stamped with the seal of the artist (upper left) painted in 1953 55.7 x 31 cm; 21 ⅞ x 12 ¼ in. affixed with Galerie de l’Institut exhibition sticker and a newspaper clipping on the reverse This work is accompanied by the artist’s original frame.  The present lot will be included in the artist's forthcoming catalogue raisonné prepared by the artist's daughter, Mai Lan Phuong.
