Classic Boulle form with rare figurative details. Similar to original Boulle forms by artist seen in the J. Paul Getty and Victoria and Albert Museums. Ring suspension above a central urn stem framed by foliate C scrolls, three open-mouthed dolphins and putti faces. Small white metal square framing flower form on central body. Scrolling arms in the form of male caryatids terminate in lily cast drip pans. Elegant cabriole arms. André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732) was one of the most famous bronze and furniture workers in 17th century France. Received as a Maitre Ebeniste in 1666, he was appointed Ebeniste du Roi in 1672 and offered a residency at the Louvre Palace. Structural Details: weighs approximately 210 lbs. Stem breaks down and arms are removable with segmented electrical plugs. Arms attach with structural prongs and receiving sockets. Mounted on a pipe to allow for 360 degree rotation. Topped by an oval ring.
