CORPUS CHRISTI Probably southern Germany or Italy, 19th century. Bronze, silver-plated, hollow cast, nail marks, upper body hollowed out at the back. H. 26, W. 16, D. 5 cm, weight approx. 1 kg. Numbered '5' on the back of the thigh. Expressive Corpus Christi in the three-nail type with arms spread wide, in a painful posture. Partial loss of patina and minor traces of oxidation. Provenance: Private collection, Hesse. KORPUS CHRISTI Vermutlich Süddeutsch oder Italien, 19. Jh. Bronze, versilbert, Hohlguss, Nagelungsstellen, rückseitig Oberkörper gehöhlt. H. 26, B. 16, T. 5 cm, Gew. ca. 1kg. Rückseitig am Oberschenkel nummeriert '5'. Ausdrucksstarker Korpus Christi im Dreinageltypus mit weit ausgebreiteten Armen, in leidvoller Haltung. Part.
