Antique 18th century French Aubusson verdure tapestry panel, finely woven in wool with natural vegetable dyes. The composition features a richly detailed pastoral landscape incorporating a central tree with a perched parrot, architectural ruins, and lush foliage, set against a fortified structure in the background. The tapestry reflects the traditional craftsmanship of the Aubusson workshops, renowned in central France for producing intricate verdure scenes during this period. No makers mark is visible. The panel measures approximately 84 inches high by 67 inches wide and is fitted on the verso with bronzed metal rings along the top rim for hanging. Accompanied by an original appraisal and photographic documentation from Frances Louise Wolfson and Marine R. Corporation.
