Faberge 14K (56) gold, diamond (sparkly) and royal blue guilloche enamel photograph frame. Translucent blue enamel over a sunburst engine-turned ground. Embellished with gold scrollwork and set with diamonds and rubies at 4 corners (at 12, 3, 6, 9). The frame contains a miniature portrait of a man in military uniform, likely a member of the Russian Imperial family such as Tsar Nicholas II or Tsesarevich Alexander Nikolaevich. On verso the backing is celluloid, the stand is gold and has the Faberge mark in Russian, gold cartouche for 56 Karat, there is a M.n or M.II also on back. Excellent condition. NOTE: We did not remove the gold screws to see the interior for additional hallmarks. Measures 3" dia., from top to bottom measures 3.5".
