DUTCH DECORATIVE METAL PLAQUES This set of two metal plagues, 14 in. in diameter, feature high relief designs pressed into the plates and 'antiqued' to bring out the accents. Designs thought to be Dutch with the wooden shoes, turned-up hats, canals, and windmill, has one in a gold finish featuring an older gentlemen smoking a pipe, standing on a cobblestone road near a canal and greeting two youths in military school uniforms; while the other similar plate featuring what looks to be the same man 'sitting on a park bench, eyeing little girls with bad intent..' (to coin a phrase), and shows a windmill, cathedral, with water and bridge in the background. Part of the same production each of the plates has a hanger wire professionally soldered to the back. Very Good.
