English, 19th century. A block-front form wood knife box with burled mahogany veneer with hinged lid inlaid cover. A fitted interior, centered at front by small metal drop ring over lock, interior lid with inlaid candycane motif border. Overall approximately 14.75" x 8.5" x 12". Loss on bottom front molding. Loss on front edge. Loss right back corner. and some veneer starting to lift. Visible in photos.
