Amazing and rare commemorative ashtray memorializing the world's first crossing of the English Channel by airplane. This history making feat was performed by Louis Bleriot and his airplane was equipped with an Anzani motor. This ashtray was issued by the Anzani aircraft motor factory. On the right side of the propeller in the center appears the date of this flight July 25, 1909, and on the left side is inscribed Crossing of the Channel (in French of course).
